Installation
Requirements
- Java 25.
- Paper/Folia 26.2 or 26.3 server.
- PacketEvents installed as a server plugin, matching snapshot 2.14.0-20260919.033014-1 (the 2.14.0-SNAPSHOT line with 26.3 support). PacketEvents is not bundled in TypicalWaypoint; older builds do not provide the required 26.3 protocol support.
- A valid TypicalWaypoint license key.
- bStats config at
plugins/bStats/config.ymlwith a non-emptyserverUuid.
Install
- Stop the server.
- Put the TypicalWaypoint jar in
plugins/. - Put PacketEvents in
plugins/if it is not already installed. - Start the server once so TypicalWaypoint can generate its config files.
- Stop the server and edit
plugins/TypicalWaypoint/license-config.yml. - Replace the placeholder
license-keyvalue with the real license key. - Confirm
plugins/bStats/config.ymlexists and contains a non-emptyserverUuid. - Start the server again.
TypicalWaypoint verifies the license during plugin load. Startup fails when the license key is blank, still set to %%_TYPICAL_LIC_%%, or when the bStats server UUID cannot be read.
Generated files
On first valid startup, the plugin writes configs under plugins/TypicalWaypoint/:
main-config.ymllicense-config.ymlmessage-config.ymldata/waypoint-data-config.ymlwaypoints/waypoint_circle.pngshaders/core/,shaders/typicalwp_26_1_2/core/,shaders/typicalwp_26_2/core/, andshaders/typicalwp_26_3/core/build.zipandbuild/after resource-pack generation
The plugin retains its Paper 26.2 API baseline. CommandAPI 12.0.0 uses its default Paper fallback to the 26.2 adapter on 26.3; validate command registration, selectors, and execution on your server before accepting the upgrade. Licensed live startup and client rendering on 26.2/26.3 have not yet been validated for this change.
License cache
Online verification creates and updates a signed offline cache at plugins/TypicalWaypoint/license-cache.json. If the license service is temporarily unavailable later, startup can continue only when this signed cache is valid.
